In Memorium

From the Carmi (Illlinois) Times, October 26, 2006:

Esther Taylor, 90, Carmi, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

She was born March 26, 1916 in Stonefort, the daughter of Jacob John and Margaret (Rhein) Seitz. She married Floyd Henry Taylor on March 26, 1937. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Carmi. Mrs. Taylor was a seamstress at the Ainsbrooke garment factory for 40 years.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Floyd Taylor of Carmi; a son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Claire Taylor of Severn, Md.; two grandchildren, John R. Taylor of Japan and Claire [sic] of Africa; a great-grandson and four great-granddaughters; and two sisters, Beulah Bryant of Carmi and Ruth Sturm of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lydia Miller and Louise Stanley.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.

Esther Taylor was Cyndi's paternal grandmother and Cyndi was quite close to her until distance and old age took its toll. At press time, Cyndi was on her way to Carmi for the funeral and to help with arrangements since her father is an only child and her brother is in Japan.

Comments:
My condolences, Cyndi. May God be with you during this time.

You're in my thoughts and prayers, as well.
