It Don't Mean a Thing....
We interrupt this blog silence with an important series of posts. The first concerns a particularly special performance at last Friday's Spring Festival of the Arts.
Our Festivals of the Arts are fancy talent shows put on to raise money for the school's fine arts departments. This one included a buffet dinner, corporate sponsors, and also raised money for a local orphanage.
One of the acts was a group consisting of Bobby, Christy and 8 of their friends. They were originally asked to put together a swing dance routine for the 5th grade musical. Subsequently, they improved the routine and auditioned for the Spring Festival. Prior to a few months ago most of these kids had no experience with ballroom dancing. Under the circumstances their performance was particularly impressive. Here's the video:
